This Bank Holiday weekend I shall be heading down to the London International Ska Festival for a whole host of Reggae and Ska legends including: a full live rendition of Handsworth Revolution album by Steel Pulse; Lee Scratch Perry; Derrick Harriot; Bitty McLean; Freddie Notes; top trombonist Rico Rodriguez; and the seriously hefty line up above that I shall be DJing and hosting at (there is also much more besides, check their website for the full line up).

As well as the mighty Gentleman’s Dub Club, who always put on a quality show, there will be one of my favourite French bands, Babylon Circus, who have been a headliner for the Town Centre stage at BoomTown a couple of times, original 3rd Wave New York Ska legends The Toasters; Cockney Ska favourites Buster Shuffle and an up and coming band I’ve heard good things about called Paperboy. All in all one of the best line ups to hit the capital in a while, so even if you can’t come for the whole weekend, I suggest grabbing a ticket for The Forum in Kentish Town this Friday night.
