Gentleman’s Dub Club – The Big Smoke Remixed

NYC based record label Easy Star Records is home to 3 of the UK’s finest Reggae bands: The Skints, Gentleman’s Dub Club and Backbeat Soundsystem and their latest release is a firing remix package for G.D.C.’s fine sophomore album, The Big Smoke.

A strong selection of collaborators has been assembled from ex member Eddie Ranking to Mancunian Dub producer The Breadwinners and London based Dub legend Nick Manasseh to Future Dub producer DJ Madd (originally from Budapest but has repped here in Bristol, Tokyo and is now over in the USA).

The other two remixes are below. One of the country’s best loved producers Prince Fatty is here with his B Side to the Music Is The Girl I Love single for those who missed it and rising UK sound Chief Rockas who have provided some of my favourite Reggae remixes of the past couple of years, bring a wicked version of One Night Only featuring Natty.
