After 3 long years of absence, St Paul’s Carnival is back just in time to celebrate it’s 50th anniversary. To say the city is excited is an understatement! Myself and the rest of the Super Soca Show crew will be joining the Lime Time truck alongside the mighty Jus Now and DJ Rakka from Belgium to blast out some big Soca tunes for the road. If you are heading down then please feel free to join us, we shall be leaving Portland Square at midday and following the procession route until 4pm.
We shall all be at The Attic in Stokes Croft for an after party also, just at the edge of St Paul’s so make sure you head over there when Carnival curfew hits. On top of that I’ll be hitting Lakota car parkfor a b2b with Wonka & Syn. The whole line up there is filthy all day so expect us to be rinsing out the naughtiest, heaviest bass music imaginable… probably…. we might just be playing Disco of course.
Carnival really is an important time for Bristol’s communities to come together and it’s refreshing to see everyone coming together to make it work. Take a look online for some of the other great things happening during the day.
Shout out to Inkie on the above artwork, he’s currently hard at work painting it onto a wall somewhere in the heart of St Paul’s.
Here’s the official youth anthem for the carnival.
