I first came across Theo Melody when he was working with The Sweet Life Society back in his Italian home turf. Now based in Marseilles and going under the alias Woxow he’s just dropped this beauty of an EP with a soulful Hip-hop sound not a million miles from one of the city’s other exports, Chinese Man.
The guest vocalists alone speak volumes, there’s Reggae legend Ken Boothe on a track with Akil from Jurassic 5 and long time DJ Vadim collaborator Blurum13. Another Daddy Vadz favourite Pugs Atomz also makes an appearance and UK soulstress Hannah Willams jumps on a track with Californian rapper Lostpoet. That’s not all though, there’s also Blacc El, Cyril Benhamou and Stimulus plus for anyone copping the 7″ single of ‘Chaos’ there’s a K+Lab remix on the flip side.
